Abstract
Time resolved emission measurements of Ln2[Pt(CN)4]3yH2O single crystals (LnCP) at T = 1.9 K are reported. The time dependence of the E⊥c polarized emission of these crystals—with the exception of LuCP—deviates considerably from that of other tetracyanoplatinates (MCP, M≠Ln). The results can be explained assuming an admixture of (Ln, 4f) orbitals to the emitting Pt‐complex states (Pt, 5dz2).
