Abstract
Kepone® (decachlorooctahydro-1,3,4,-metheno-2H-cyclobuta[cd]pentalen-2-one) was fed to dairy cows at levels of 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, and 5.0 ppm of the ration for a period of 60 days. The highest level of Kepone obtained from the milk of an individual cow during the experiment was 0.44 ppm. Eighty-three days after discontinuation of Kepone-feeding, no measurable amount of Kepone was present in the milk of cows fed at the lowest rate (0.25 ppm), and only traces were found in the milk of cows fed at the highest rate (5.0 ppm). Kepone had no apparent ill effects on cows at the rates used. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
