Strong and Weak0+Excitations in theCe142(p,t)Ce140andCe140(p,t)Ce138Reactions

Abstract
The 0+ level structure of Ce140 and Ce138 as revealed by the Ce142(p,t) and Ce140(p,t) reactions is reported. Comparisons are made to a model which mixes the anharmonic pair vibration with "two multipole-phonon" 0+ excitations and "one-phonon" 0+ proton configurations. The 5.57-MeV 0+ level in Ce140 may be a pair analog to the weak 0+ level in Ce138 at 2.32 MeV.
