Abstract
A cephalin complex and 5 cephalin fractions were prepared from bovine and human brain tissue. The cephalin complex and to a lesser extent some of the fractions, acted as substitutes for platelets in the thromboplastin generation test, in accellerating the clotting time and in prothrombin utilization. Clinically the effects were of therapeutic value, but varied with the dose. Keywords
