Charge States for Protons Moving in an Electron Gas

Abstract
In this work, by using many-body techniques we propose a new method for calculating equilibrium charges for ions moving in a uniform electron gas, within any range of velocities. Our procedure has been applied to protons, and our calculations show good agreement with the experimental evidence.Keywords
