Abstract
Ten cases of cryptococcal meningitis caused by Cryptococcus neoformans were treated with intravenous amphotericin B. The most promising finding was the consistent sterility of the spinal fluids in 7 of the 8 surviving patients. It is concluded that amphotericin B is the most promising agent now available for the treatment of this infection. Keywords
