Abstract
Liver glycogen concn. of mature female rats remained unaltered during the estrous cycle. In spayed adult rats, single doses of estrogens (50 /ig. estradiol, 25 jig. dioxystilbestrol or 50 jig. estrone) failed to alter liver glycogen. Immature female rats were also unresponsive. Estradiol benzoate (50 ^g./day x 8) or estrone (50 /ig./day x 6) raised the liver glycogen of spayed rats; the increase was greater when rats were fasted. Fasting reduced the liver glycogen of mature spayed rats, but not of immature rats.
