Abstract
The photodichroism and dispersion of M and MA centers in Li‐doped NaF are used in a gray‐scale image recording, reading, and storage scheme, combining extinction and suppressive writing. Improved sensitivity, contrast, and the use of the same wavelength for writing and reading are the principal advantages.Keywords
