Abstract
The biological similarities among cholera toxin, E. coli heat-labile toxin [LT] and enterotoxins produced by strains of V. cholerae of 59 serotypes other than type 1 were studied in the rabbit ileal loop and rabbit skin models. All filtrates were neutralized by cholera antitoxin and E. coli LT antiserum. Partial neutralization was observed in a few strains and was probably due to high concentrations of identical toxin rather than the presence of other toxic substances. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
