Abstract
A method is described for the propagation of human amnion cells (strain FL) in agitated liquid suspension of volumes up to a 3-liter capacity. Cells grown under these conditions can be maintained as stock cultures for supplying cells for seeding roller tubes or Povitsky bottles without resorting to dispersing agents such as trypsin orVersene. These cells after being propagated in submerged culture retain their susceptibility to type 4 adenovirus. Keywords
