Abstract
Summary: Taste thresholds for phenylthiourea were measured among 295 Japanese in Brazil. The frequency of non‐tasters was observed to be 7‐1 ± 1 4 %. This estimate does not differ from those of other Mongoloid groups tested by means of the sorting technique. The author wishes to express his gratitude to the Rockefeller Foundation for the grant which supported the present work.
