Abstract
A number of reliability indices may be used to measure bulk power supply adequacy. This paper presents a classification and listing of a sampling of indices in use and under consideration in Europe and North America. The fundamental definition of each index is given. The paper is offered for review with the objective of promoting the use of reliability indices in bulk power system planning and design. Keywords
