Abstract
The Fe contents of tyrosinase preparations from mealworms and the fungi Lactarius rufus and L. turpis were estimated. There was no relationship between the Fe content and the oxidase activity of the various preparations. A small quantity of ferrous salts hastened the coloration of tyrosine and of p-cresol solutions. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
