Abstract
A simple multiperipheral approach based on the assumed cutoff of internal momentum transfer is shown to yield all predictions of more sophisticated Bethe-Salpeter and field-theoretic approaches. Scaling arises simply as a requirement for the scaling down of the initial energy when the real or virtual external masses considerably exceed the assumed small universal cutoff of internal momenta. Keywords
