Abstract
The magnetic moment of the 247-kev () excited state of was determined from the effects of an external magnetic field on the directional correlation of the gamma rays. Two methods of measurement were employed. The observation of the attenuation of the directional correlation yielded for the magnetic moment nm, taking into account the time-dependent quadrupole interaction in the liquid sources which were used for this measurement. The more accurate method of determining the azimuthal shift of the correlation pattern about the axis of the magnetic field gave a more precise value of the magnetic moment, nm.
