Abstract
Calf adrenal glands were perfused with an artificial medium containing progesterone-4-C14. Radioactive aldosterone was isolated from an extract of the perfusate by paper chromatography. The C14 aldosterone radioactivity migrated with authentic non-radio-active aldosterone and with tritiated aldosterone in 3 chromatographic systems before, and two after, acetylation to aldosterone diacetate. Conversion was estimated to be 0.1%.Keywords
