Abstract
An antileukemic quassinoid simalikalactone D (17) and two anticancer phenolic compounds, emodin and tricin, were isolated from the wood of Simaba multiflora (Simaroubaceae) as well as 8-hydroxycanthin-6-one (18) and coumarin. The constituents of the genus Simaba are reviewed. 1 For paper XXXIV in this series see ref. 1 2 These data were first presented at the 59th Meeting of the Hokuriku Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan, Kanazawa, June 11th, 1983This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
