Abstract
Estrone sulfate was administered to a group of menopausal women for purposes of therapeutic standardization. The dosage of 0.4 mg 3 times daily induced satisfactory relief in the majority of patients. The results indicated that relatively little loss of activity of estrone occurred when administered orally in the form of estrone sulfate, contrary to evidence from laboratory animals. In the avg. therapeutic dose, estrone sulfate was relatively non-toxic as compared to diethylstilbestrol. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
