Abstract
The core structures of Shigella sonnei Phase I, phase II and R‐form lipopolysaccharides have been investigated using the following methods: methylation analysis, Smith and enzymic degradations, 1H‐NMR spectroscopy and passive hemolysis inhibition. The complete structures of the cores occurring in Sh. sonnei, as well as the type of linkage between the core and O‐specific chain, are proposed. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
