Electronic states associated with the sixty-degree edge dislocation in germanium

Abstract
The effect of the sixty-degree edge dislocation upon the local density of states of germanium is examined using the continued fraction method. Dislocation bands are found and these lie close to the valence and conduction band edges. Details of their charge distributions are given.Keywords
