Abstract
The rise of urinary 17-ketosteroids following cortisone was prevented by simultaneous ascorbic acid injns., and instead there occurred an increase in the urinary corticosteroids. The data are interpreted to indicate that ascorbic acid depresses the breakdown of cortisone to 17-ketosteroids.Keywords
