Abstract
We present a formal exact analysis of the autocorrelation formulas for transport coefficients in a van der Waals fluid. We show that the first correction due to the long range force is of order γ (γ = inverse range of the force) and the formal expression for this correction is displayed in terms of the Prigogine‐Balescu graphs. The analysis crucially rests upon a generalization of hydrodynamical modes in a van der Waals fluid, valid for wave numbers smaller or of the order of γ.Keywords
