Abstract
A method is described for the determination of RNA which is suitable for cotyledon tissue. The RNA content of the cotyledons of germinating seed of P. arvense fell during the first 2 weeks of growth. This decrease was delayed by the removal of the root and shoot. The acid-soluble fraction of the cotyledons was labelled by exogenously supplied [P32] orthophosphate, but no significant labelling of the cotyledon RNA was observed. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
