Abstract
A model of the + interaction is developed and compared to the data on the ground state of and the + elastic scattering data up to 4.5 Mev (deuteron laboratory energy). New phase-shift analyses of the 8- and 10.3-Mev elastic scattering data are made, and quantities relevant to the production or analysis of beams of polarized deuterons are calculated.
