Abstract
Crude bovine plasminogen was activated by trypsin, CHCl3, or CHCl3 followed by a low level of trypsin. Activation was followed by a fibrin lysis method. Pancreatin and crude bovine plasmin activated the plasminogen but chymotrypsin, ficin, and papain did not. Trypsin was the best activator tested. Potent lyophilized plasmins were prepared from plasminogen by trypsin activation. Keywords
