Abstract
A case is presented of renal infection due to Cryptococcus neoformans var. hominis in a patient in whom the pulmonary findings were compatible with Boeck''s sarcoid. Removal of the involved kidney was complicated by draining fistulae which gradually closed with surgical drainage of a retroperitoneal abscess cavity. The case is unusual in the finding of C. neoformans apparently confined to the kidney and perirenal tissue. Review of the literature has failed to reveal a previous report of a similar case. Keywords
