Abstract
A quantitative analysis of cw CO2 laser power required to cut thin stainless-steel sheets at varying speeds is reported. The results are interpreted theoretically in terms of a point-source model. Generalized curves have been plotted which allow predictions to be made for other metals. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
