Abstract
Based on a study of 8 adult Bantu males suffering from urinary schistosomiasis, it has been detd. that the color of their urine is no indication of the amt. of blood loss or of the number of schistosome eggs passed; that the loss of blood is not sufficient to cause hypochromic anaemia; and that the actual number of eggs passed varies so greatly from day to day that any single urine examination may be very unreliable as an indication of the degree of infestation, and possibly as to the actual presence of any infestation. A series examination is a necessity in determining actual infestation. Keywords
