Abstract
On an empirical basis four states are proposed as q2-2q meson candidates: ε(900), “A1 “(l100), κ(1350) and X(1500). The width of a q2-2q state from these examples is Γ ≥ 300 MeV, a distinguishing feature from qq states, which seem to have τ ≥ 200 MeV when resolved. Because of great width and high density no individual q2q states are likely to be discernible at higher masses except perhaps for exotics: I = 3/2 at m ≥ 1.6 GeV, JPC = 1-+ probably ≥ 1.8 GeV. Beyond about 1.8 GeV, a strong background of q2-2q states may spoil the OZI rule for some qq resonances. Keywords
