Abstract
This paper described a method of estimation of estrogen content in tissue extracts based on the stimulation of placental isocitric dehydrogenase by estrogens added in vitro. From these experiments the average estrogen content of 14 normal human term placentas was calculated to contain 234[plus or minus]20 [mu]g estradiol-17[beta] plus estrone per kg fresh tissue. Keywords
