Fission barriers forEs255,Es256, andFm255

Fission coincidence data are presented for ($d,pf$), ($t,pf$), and (${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He},df$) reactions on a ${}_{}{}^{254}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Es}$ target. A possible resonance is observed in ${}_{}{}^{255}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Es}$. Estimates for the height of the first peak of the fission barrier for ${}_{}{}^{255}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Es}$, ${}_{}{}^{256}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Es}$, and ${}_{}{}^{255}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Fm}$ are presented. The possibility of additional structure in the potential energy surface in the vicinity of the first peak of the fission barrier is discussed.
