Abstract
The max. secretory pressure of the canine pancreas fluctuates from min. to min. Increasing the secretory pressure of the pancreas produces no significant change in the rate of secretion of juice or bicarbonate until the pressure is at or near the maximal pressure the gland is capable of developing at the time the observation is made. At this point the rate of secretion of both juice and bicarbonate falls abruptly. Keywords
