DIE TESTOSTERONAUSSCHEIDUNG BEIM CHROMATINPOSITIVEN KLINEFELTER SYNDROM IM KINDES- UND JUGENDALTER

Abstract
The urinary testosterone excretion, using the method of Vermeulen and Verplancke (1963), was determined in 16 patients with typical Klinefelter syndrome and in 1 patient with a chromosomal status of 44/XXYY. Values of the testosterone excretion during the prepuberal period are within the normal range, after onset of puberty they are in the low-normal range or below the normal range. The testosterone values do not correlate with the size of testes.
