Abstract
Total vit. B deficiency and riboflavin deficiency produced decreases in the succinic oxidase activity of liver homogenates from hooded rats, but no change or possibly a slight increase in cytochrome oxidase activity. Thiamine deficiency had no effect on either system. Homogenates of livers of animals given thyroid powder or thyroxin for 7-10 days showed increased succinic and cytochrome oxidase activities. In total B and riboflavin deficiencies the response of succinic oxidase to thyroid was decreased, that of cytochrome oxidase was very variable.
