CAPILLARY PERMEABILITY: PERFUSION OF FROG AND GUINEA PIG HIND LIMBS

Abstract
The perfusion technic of Hyman and Chambers (1943) for assaying cortical extracts through edema formation rates was studied. Even with improved apparatus and technic it is concluded that the method is unsatisfactory for this assay. Cortical extracts do not appear to act through alteration of capillary permeability. The improved method is now being tested with citrus "Vit.-P".
