Abstract
Casein, [beta]-lactoglobulin, ovalbumin, edestin, insulin, gelatin and zein were hydrolyzed with HCl and the acetylated amino-acids separated by silica gel chromatography. Results were in good agreement with reported values by microbiological and chemical methods. The important factors in the prepn. of silica gel are discussed. Keywords
