Abstract
Extensive purification of an aldosterone fraction obtained after two chromatographic separations (Zaffaroni's propylene glycol/toluene system and Bush C system) from crude neutral extract is described. Highly purified aldosterone was isolated in four instances. At least four other compounds which may be related to aldosterone were found in this fraction. A procedure is proposed for the isolation and determination of highly purified aldosterone. Keywords
