Abstract
A method for the estimation of total 17-hydroxycorticoids in plasma is described. The procedure is based on the extraction with butanol of both free and conjugated steroids and colorimetric evaluation by means of the Porter-Silber reaction. Good correlation with known states of adrenocortical function was shown. Keywords
