Spin-flip acceptor scattering in ZnTe. II. Lithium and sodium

Abstract
Laser Raman spin-flip scattering from Li and Na acceptors in ZnTe has been observed. Selection rules for the ΔM=1 and ΔM=2 transitions have been confirmed. The gyromagnetic ratios deduced are g(Li)=0.64 and g(Na)=0.65. Spin-flip transitions corresponding to g=0.39 are also observed in both ZnTe: Na and ZnTe: As, and are interpreted as spin-flip of photoexcited free electrons.
