Abstract
Laser Raman spin-flip scattering from Li and Na acceptors in ZnTe has been observed. Selection rules for the and transitions have been confirmed. The gyromagnetic ratios deduced are and . Spin-flip transitions corresponding to are also observed in both ZnTe: Na and ZnTe: As, and are interpreted as spin-flip of photoexcited free electrons.
