Abstract
17-ketosteroid glucuronides are separated from 17-ketosteroid sulfates by acetylation with acetic anhydride and pyridine. The acetyl glucuronides formed are soluble in organic solvents and can be extracted from water with benzene. The 17-ketosteroid composition of these fractions was shown to be essentially the same as that of glucuronide and sulfate fractions prepared by conventional methods. Keywords
