PERIODICITY IN BODY TEMPERATURE AND HEART RATE

Abstract
Long term observations on 6 men and 4 women revealed the existence of a parallelism between the mouth temp. and heart rate fluctuations, whether the latter were of endogenous or exogenous origin. A rise of 1[degree] F in mouth temp. usually involved an increase of 10 to 20 heart beats per min. There were deviations from this parallelism during the post-ovulatory phase of the menstrual cycle, as well as in pregnancy and lactation.
