Abstract
Charge transfer reactions between , and and O3 have been studied to obtain cross sections for information of The charge transfer reaction on NO2 has also been remeasured. The range of ion energies considered extends from 1 to 500 eV. Upper limits have been obtained for the charge transfer cross section of F−, Cl−, and , with O3. The results show that the electron affinity of O3 must be close to accepted value of approximately 2 eV. The method used to produce a neutral beam of pure O3 is discussed.
