Abstract
An emendation of the Phacidiaceae is presented. Of 24 genera placed in the family by previous authors, only 2, Lophophacidium and Phacidium (=Phacidiostroma) are retained. Four new species are described, and three new combinations made, in Phacidium. The Apostrasseria or Ceuthospora anamorphs of six of these are also described. Phacidium symplocinum is made the type species of a new genus, Ascluella, tentatively maintained in the Dermateaceae. The new combinations, Coccomyces gaultheriae, Odontotrema sieversiae, Pseudophacidium kumaonense, and Schizoxylon hemisphaericum, are introduced. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
