Abstract
Urinary and fecal N excretion in rats on a stock diet supplemented with 0.5 and 1% zinc oxide increased as a result of the zinc supplement. Urinary excretion of P and S was lowered, fecal excretion raised. Urinary excretion of uric acid and of creatinine increased. These results are discussed in relation to the systemic effects found to be characteristics of Zn poisoning. Keywords
