Abstract
Renin elicits diuresis and proteinuria in the rat. Both are impaired by adrenalectomy or hypophysectomy, but are restored by replacement therapy only after adrenalectomy. Renin is more effective by subcut. than by intraperit. admn. Its effects are impaired by subtotal hepatectomy and are potentiated by NaCl. Large intraperit. doses of Angiotonin elicit similar diuresis and proteinuria, indicating that it is the effector agent of renin. Keywords
