Abstract
The absolute differential cross section for the (p,γHe reaction was measured for 0.1≤≤6.0 MeV. Gamma rays produced by proton bombardment of TiH targets were detected simultaneously with BGO and NaI scintillators positioned at 90° with respect to the incident beam. Our results are higher than the most recently reported (p,γ) data, but in good agreement with all other previous (p,γ) experiments. The present results support the (γ,p) cross sections recommended by Calarco et al. in their discussions of the charge asymmetry of the nuclear force in .
