Abstract
The time-dependent tunneling of electron wave packets through parabolic quantum wells is numerically studied. We consider both true smooth parabolic wells and quasiparabolic short-period superlattice potentials. The evolution of the charge density is described in detail. The electron dwell time at various resonance energies is also calculated. Keywords
