Spin determination of resonance structure in (U235+n) below 25 keV

Abstract
Measurements made with a polarized neutron beam and a polarized target of U235 have been analyzed to obtain spin-separated fission cross sections of (U235+n) below 25 keV neutron energy. Analysis of the cross section data in the resolved resonance region has been carried out to obtain a better estimate of average parameters than has been previously available. The average parameters have been used as the starting point for an extraction of energy-dependent average parameters in the unresolved resonance region. The results of this analysis show evidence for intermediate structure in the spin-4 component.
