Abstract
This paper introduces Pica, a fine-grain, messagepassing architecture designed to efficiently supporthigh-throughput parallel applications. The architectureminimizes overhead for basic parallel operations. Anoperand-addressed context cache and round-robin taskmanager allow single cycle task swaps. Fixed-sized activationcontexts simplify storage management. Wordtagsynchronization bits provide low-cost synchronization. The focus on high-throughput applications allowsa small local memory...Keywords
